Nathalia Hawi, a gender specialist and peacebuilding practitioner
Hawi is a dedicated advocate for gender-responsive peacebuilding and community resilience. She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling and Psychosocial Monitoring from the Lebanese University and currently serves as the Project Coordinator for Peacebuilding Projects with a Gender Perspective at KAFA Organization.
With a strong focus on community engagement, Hawi specializes in working with women’s groups to address Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and oral history, facilitating processes that help communities confront the past, navigate reconciliation, and foster healing. Her expertise includes designing and implementing programs that empower women, promote gender equality, and support survivors of GBV, ensuring that their voices and experiences are recognized in peacebuilding efforts.
Through her work, she actively creates safe spaces for dialogue, strengthens community resilience, and contributes to sustainable peacebuilding initiatives across Lebanon.
