Ghada Al Kakhi, a writer, educator, gender trainer, and advocate for women’s empowerment

Al Kakhi is a writer, French language teacher, wife, and mother of three, hailing from the Hasbani region in southern Lebanon. Deeply committed to human rights, her social and political activism has focused on strengthening the economic and cultural capacities of women in rural areas. She has actively collaborated with numerous national, international, and regional Arab organizations to champion these causes.

Al Kakhi is a certified gender trainer and facilitator with expertise in training, mediation, and conflict resolution. Her facilitation skills have been recognized through her certification with Kafa Organization, where she contributed to the Civil War Memory Project by addressing the legacy of conflict from a gender lens.

In addition, Al Kakhi works with Peace Labs in collaboration with UN Women, facilitating conflict assessments and raising awareness through dialogue sessions as part of “Dealing with the Past” project.
