Areej Azzam is a social worker, facilitator, and advocate for peace and community empowerment

Azzam is a dedicated social worker and facilitator specializing in psychosocial support and community empowerment. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the Modern University for Business and Science (MUBS), where she served as President of the Social Work Club. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Non-Violence, Conflict, and Mediation at the Academic University for Non-Violence & Human Rights.

She has worked with several organizations such as Peace Labs and KAFA, where she facilitated dialogue sessions on peacebuilding and reconciliation, particularly for women from diverse backgrounds. Her work emphasizes addressing the legacy of the Lebanese Civil War and fostering gender-inclusive solutions for conflict resolution.

Her dedication is complemented by extensive training in areas such as conflict analysis, disaster management, psychological first aid, and gender-based violence prevention.
