Mona Hasouna, Founder and Director of Steps

Hassouna is the Founder and Director of Steps, a consultancy dedicated to fostering transformational strategic movements, community empowerment, and sustainable change. Through her leadership at Steps, Mona has spearheaded diverse initiatives in dialogue facilitation, field research, curriculum development, training design, workshop facilitation, and program evaluation. She is a certified consultant through INTRAC’s Consultants for Change program.

As a Master Facilitator for the “Empowerment” training program in Lebanon, she focuses on fostering change among disenfranchised women. She also serves as a Master Regional Facilitator with the British Council on two global programs: “Active Citizens” and “Leadership in Community Development”.

With 16 years of experience as a professional trainer and facilitator, Hassouna specializes in areas such as conflict transformation, conflict sensitivity, leadership, peacebuilding, non-violence, dealing with the past, and organizational development. She is deeply connected to local communities throughout Lebanon, blending her role as a social activist with her passion for empowering individuals and organizations.

She holds a Master’s degree in NGO Management from La Sagesse University and studied audiovisual journalism at the Lebanese University.
