Jinane Doumit Nader
Jinane Doumit Nader, a humanitarian and peacebuilding specialist
Nader brings over 16 years of experience in fundraising, program development, and proposal writing, paired with a bachelor’s degree in international business management. Her extensive involvement in the humanitarian, peacebuilding, and development fields is complemented by her recent certification in Investigating Allegations of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse from the UN and CHS Alliance.
As a civil society activist, she has a proven track record in mediating conflicts between sectarian groups in Lebanon and strengthening the capacities of organizations to address local disputes. She is a co-founder of Mobadiroun, a newly established NGO dedicated to promoting citizenship by fostering participation mechanisms in public affairs for women and youth. Additionally, she is an independent member of the Forum for Memory and Future in Lebanon.
With roots in the private sector, Nader worked with the Permanent Peace Movement from 2001 to 2010. She trained communities in villages and Palestinian camps in areas such as conflict resolution, human rights, advocacy, citizenship, and democracy. Her efforts included organizing peace groups on university campuses to encourage students to prioritize their real needs over politicized actions.
Nader has managed and coordinated numerous projects, including Citizen Lebanon, Youth Participation Rights, and Stop Child Soldiers, funded by the EU and other international organizations. As Assistant Director of the Displaced Youth initiative, she visited over 90 villages, organized 45 training workshops, and empowered 800 youths from diverse ethnic backgrounds.
A former Red Cross volunteer, Nader has also studied conflict transformation at the Summer Peacebuilding Institute at Eastern Mennonite University in Virginia. Her expertise and leadership have earned her opportunities to participate in international conferences and workshops, including the Women and Public Policy Program – The Initiative for Inclusive Security in the USA and the Women to Women Workshop at the International Centre for Democratic Transition (ICDT) in Budapest.
