Chaden Hani

Chaden Hani, a researcher in peace and reconciliation studies and co-founder of Action Research Associates (ARA)

Hani works on several initiatives and research projects focused on dialogue between emerging political actors and activists of the change movement. ARA is concerned with the history of the Lebanese civil war, and Hani is involved in a project entitled “Truth and Reconciliation,” which employs a multiple-narrative approach towards reconciliation. She has co-managed several initiatives in inter-religious dialogue and is currrently pursuing her P.h.D. in conflict resolution towards national reconciliation at Vurje University of Amsterdam.

Hani holds a major in computer science from the Lebanese American University, a BA in Theology from The Arabic Baptist Theological Seminary (ABTS), and Master’s in Religion from the Institute of Middle East Studies (IMES), based at ABTS.

She is also active with the Forum for Memory and Future and the Peace and Reconciliation Network PRN-MENA under WEA.
